360° VIDEO PRODUCTION
Professional 360° video production for brands, agencies and organisations worldwide. Handled personally by a specialist with over 12 years of dedicated experience.
What is 360° Video Production?
360° video production captures the world in every direction simultaneously, placing the viewer directly inside the experience rather than watching it from the outside. Unlike conventional video, the audience can look in any direction they choose, creating a level of immersion that flat video simply cannot achieve.
The applications are vast. From cinematic brand films and wildlife documentaries to safety, training and travel content, 360° video works across almost every industry and every type of story. I've filmed great white sharks off the coast of South Africa, footballers at Real Madrid for Adidas, coffee farms in Peru, surgical procedures in France, Extreme-E racing cars in Uruguay and road safety films across the UK. No two projects are the same and that's what makes this medium so compelling.
I work primarily with compact professional 360° camera systems, giving me a level of creative flexibility simply not possible with larger rigs. This means getting the camera into places that would otherwise be impossible. Underwater, on moving vehicles, in confined spaces, close to wildlife. For projects requiring stereoscopic 360° video, I also shoot with a larger professional rig, delivering a fully immersive stereoscopic experience for VR headset viewing.

Who is 360° Video For?
There's a fundamental difference between watching something and being inside it. That's the difference between flat video and 360°. With conventional video your audience observes. With 360° video they're there, looking around, feeling the environment, experiencing the moment as if they were physically present. For the right project, that difference is everything.
Think about what that means in practice. A safety training film where the viewer is placed directly inside the scenario, experiencing it rather than simply watching it. Research consistently shows that immersive 360° learning leads to better retention than passive flat video. When a safety message truly lands, it can save lives. A travel film where the audience genuinely feels they're there. A wildlife film where the viewer shares the animal's environment, feeling genuinely present in a way that flat video can never replicate. Flat video tells the story. 360° video makes the viewer part of it.
The medium works best when presence matters. When you need your audience to feel something rather than just see something. If your project relies on impact, empathy or immersion, 360° video will always outperform flat video.
360° video plays on VR headsets, YouTube, social media and any smartphone or desktop browser. No specialist equipment needed. And with reframing, that same 360° footage can be repurposed as conventional flat video for TV, digital signage or any standard screen, giving you two completely different finished films from a single shoot

How the Process Works
Every 360° video production starts with a conversation. I'll take time to fully understand what you need, review your brief and advise on the best approach for your project. This includes guiding you on the right format for your intended platform, whether that's a VR headset, YouTube, social media or conventional flat screens via reframing.
Once we're aligned on the creative direction, the shoot is planned carefully and collaboratively before filming begins. Back in my studio I'll organise the footage, work through the edit and keep you regularly updated with work in progress cuts throughout the process. You'll always know exactly where things are up to.
Music, sound effects, motion graphics, logos and subtitles are all integrated during post production. Once you're happy to sign off, I'll render the final film in the correct format for your chosen platform. If you'd like a reframed flat screen version as well, this can be produced at the same time. Most projects are delivered within around four weeks, though this depends on project complexity and how smoothly the feedback process runs.

Why Work With a Specialist?
Owning a 360° camera and knowing how to use one professionally are two entirely different things.
360° filmmaking is one of the most technically demanding and unforgiving formats in video production. There is nowhere to hide. The camera sees everything simultaneously, capturing every mistake, every crew member and every piece of kit. How do you light a scene when conventional setups are visible to the camera? How do you conceal crew and equipment? How do you compose in a fully spherical environment, minimise motion sickness and integrate motion graphics into a spherical space?
The answers come from experience. Twelve years of it, in my case. I know how to work with natural light, remove unwanted elements in post and deliver a 360° film that genuinely works for the viewer.
I also offer basic stereo audio recording as an additional service, removing the need for a dedicated sound recordist on straightforward projects. Ambisonic spherical audio is not included. If your project requires fully immersive spatial audio a specialist would need to be brought in.
The difference between 360° footage shot by someone who truly understands the medium and footage shot by someone who does not is immediately and painfully obvious. Do not let your project be the one that makes that point.
